The Crane is Back
New Update: The Crane is Back – And It's Better Than Ever!
Patch notes: V 2.2.22.179
In this update, the operational crane has been fully restored – but not just restored, improved! You can now use it manually or remotely to install new fuel assemblies, remove spent ones, and handle the control rods – install or uninstall them as needed.
But be careful! Both fuel assemblies and control rods are fragile and must be handled with extreme precision.
Under normal conditions, the crane can be operated remotely or automatically using your tablet. However, if the reactor enters a crisis state (red-level alarms), the only way to operate the crane will be to climb aboard and take manual control.
The crane draws power from whatever energy sources are available in the plant: diesel generators, emergency batteries, the external power grid, turbine-generated electricity – and it even has a dedicated emergency battery rack just for crane operations.
While a total blackout is unlikely, always take precautions before climbing aboard. If the power goes out completely... no one will be able to rescue you.
If the crane is damaged or its remote receiver stops working, you can send AO to repair it.
